Charlize Theron’s a Dangerous Spy in Trailer for Atomic Blonde

Director David Leitch’s next film Atomic Blonde draws some comparisons to his last film John Wick where we see star Charlize Theron kicking butt in some amazing action scenes. The trailer does show off her fighting skills in what is sure to be a great action thriller for the summer.

In the new film Atomic Blonde, it follows Charlize Theron as a lethal spy working for MI6 during the Cold War era as she hunts down operatives being smuggled into the West. Even though the film is an adaptation of Sam Hart’s espionage graphic novel The Coldest City, the film does remind us of the bloody violence and action sequences from Keanu Reeves’ hit film John Wick. The trailer features the likes of John Goodman and James McAvoy as she teams up with them to take down some dangerous spies.

Since this is a Red Band trailer, we also get to see a steamy sex scene between Theron and her co-star Sofia Boutella. So you can expect to see plenty of violence and sex in this one. The film will make it’s world premiere during next week’s SXSW Film Festival. Until then, check out the trailer and let us know what you think. If that doesn’t convince you how great the film looks, we also have a poster to keep you invested. Will you be seeing Atomic Blonde when it comes out in theaters July 28?
