BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: BLOOD & CHROME: Luke Pasqualino, Ben Cotton Cast

Luke Pasqualino

Luke Pasqualino and Ben Cotton have been cast in Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome. Luke Pasqualino has been cast as William Adama and Ben Cotton has been cast as Coker. Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome tells the story of

the early days of Adama as a young soldier joining the Galactica and fighting the Cylon menace. It is set during the 10th year of the first Cylon war…Pasqualino will star as the young, talented fighter pilot William Adama, a recent Academy graduate who finds himself assigned to the newest Battlestar in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and in pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with Coker (Cotton), the battle-weary officer to whom he reports. With 45 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine mission turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.

I was pulling for Nico Cortez – written about here: Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome: Greenlit by SyFy Channel – who played Adama in Battlestar Galatica: Razor but the SciFi show decided to go younger. What do you think of the current casting for Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome?

All this new information on Blood and chrome is definitely appealing to those who are only vaguely familiar with BSG’s history and time line aspects. This show is only set to attract new people into the BSG franchise, and this is its primary purpose and secondarily to attract the already set fan base. They will use BSG/Caprica for basic history and character knowledge, but will not be staying true to the actual set history, of either.

The continuity issues are plenty and will eventually take such a turn that it will make both BSG and Caprica irrelevant to any of what it will contain, if it becomes a series. To read more on the continuity aspect as well as what David Eick has already stated about Blood and Chrome’s primary purpose. Also contained in this article is located a link to a much more indepth review on B&C, by someone who has actually read the script, as well as a link to details as to why B&C was even created.
