Box Office: January 16-18, 2015: AMERICAN SNIPER, WEDDING RINGER

Box Office January 16-18, 2015. American Sniper premiered in the Number One spot at the box office over the weekend with $90.2 Million. The Wedding Ringer premiered in Second Place with $21 Million. Paddington premiered in Third Place with $19.2 Million. Taken 3 was Fourth with $14 Million. Selma was Fifth with $8.3 Million. The Imitation Game, Into the Woods, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Unbroken, and Blackhat (which premiered this weekend) rounded out the top ten respectively.

The Wedding Ringer is a 2015 romantic comedy film written and directed by Jeremy Garelick. It stars Kevin Hart, Josh Gad, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and Olivia Thirlby.

Paddington is a 2014 British comedy film, directed by Paul King and written by King and Hamish McColl and produced by David Heyman. The film is based on Paddington Bear by Michael Bond who receives an appearance credit in the movie as the Kindly Gentleman. The film stars Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, and Nicole Kidman, with Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington.
