Creed 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, X-Men And Other Film News

Creed 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, X-Men, and other films have made recent production news.

These productions come from studios based primarily in the United States. The information within is subject to change.

X-Men

20th Century Fox has set release dates for six untitled movies that will connect to the studio’s X-Men film franchise. Among the dates selected are June 7 and November 22nd 2019, March 13th, June 26th, and October 2nd in 2020, and March 5th in 2021. These will come in the wake of Fox’s other X-Men universe offerings, including The New Mutants, Deadpool 2, and Dark Phoenix.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Tom Holland offers hints about what to expect in the planned sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming. According to the actor, the wallcrawler will have his next solo film in July of next year, noting that “the most interesting thing” about being young is growing from a boy into a man. This suggests that the sequel could deal with Peter Parker’s growing pains.

Creed 2

Sylvester Stallone indicates that Creed 2 may revisit Adonis’ Creed infamous bout with Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. Posting a still from the film of the two fighters on Instagram, Stallone wrote that “History will always repeat itself” before adding “Sins of the father…” Whether this means Drago will return to face the young Creed or if his presence will be felt in some other way is unknown.

Road of the Dead

George A. Romero describes his upcoming film Road of the Dead as “‘Fast and the Furious‘ with zombies at the wheel'”. The zombie movie is currently without a backer.

Believe it or not, there are occasions where I find time to write for my own leisure.
