SPIDERMAN: HOMECOMING (2017): Film to Be The First of a New Trilogy

Spider-Man: Homecoming Trilogy

Spider-Man: Homecoming Will Become Part of a Trilogy

Spider-Man: Homecoming is already set to getting a sequel, but it seems like we may get another trilogy according to Tom Holland. We saw Spider-Man get a trilogy with director Sam Raimi and Tobey Maquire, so seeing Spidey getting another one for the MCU may actually work as well.

The crew behind Spider-Man: Homecoming has already mentioned that there will be another film following the adventures of the web-crawler. However, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures seem to be making plans for a trilogy. During an interview with French site Allocine, actor Tom Holland let some information slip on a third installment:

There is still plenty of room to see Peter grow up Parker and especially Spider-Man in the next two movies, and at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, the story is definitely not complete, I’m really looking forward to exploring how it will grow, [and to] see what will happen after puberty. Yes, [they’re] going to be exciting movies.

In case they heard that wrong, the site wanted Holland to clarify what he said, in which he responded: “Yes, there will be Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming 3. Now, you know, sorry, Marvel, oops!”

Even though it’s not exactly official, Holland’s statement seems to be a strong verification. Despite both studios agreeing on just two solo films, it’s good to know that they are considering to do one more for a trilogy.
