Third Spider-man MCU Film Title Revealed

Spider-Man’s next big-screen outing now has a name. Stars Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon revealed the title as Spider-Man: No Way Home in a video posted Wednesday.

The revelation comes after Holland and his co-stars set the Internet buzzing on Tuesday night with their own fake titles for the film, including Spider-Man: Phone Home (Holland), Spider-Man: Home Slice (Batalon) and Spider-Man-Homewrecker (Zendaya).

Spider-Man: No Way Home also features Benedict Cumberbatch as Marvel magician Doctor Strange and is rumored to delve into the multiverse as it will also unite separate generations of Spider-Man films. Alfred Molina, who played Doctor Octopus in Sam Raimi’s 2004 hit Spider-Man 2 (who is also directing Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness), will appear. So will Jamie Foxx, playing Electro, the villain he portrayed in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which starred Andrew Garfield. The new title adds fuel that both Garfield and Tobey Maguire will reprise their roles as Peter Parker too.

Sony and Marvel Studios have set the next Spider-Man installment for  Dec. 17, 2021. Filmmaker Jon Watts is back in the director’s chair after helming Spider-Man Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), which earned more than $1.1 billion globally, making it the highest grossing Spidey movie of all time. Watts is also confirmed to be directing a future Fantastic Four film, though the release date has not been announced.
