Th second movie trailer for Live by Night (2016) has been released by Warner Bros. Instead of a overarching trailer like the first trailer, this trailer focused on a few particular moments in the film than delivered a montage near its conclusion. Once again, the underworld feel is delivered but the viewer is also given a sense of how Joe Coughlin (Ben Affleck) wanted to shape the world to his liking. Elements in the underworld during that time period seem to have other ideas.

Live by Night‘s plot synopsis: based on the novel by Dennis Lehane, “Boston, MA – 1926. The ’20s are roaring. Liquor is flowing, bullets are flying, and one man sets out to make his mark on the world. Prohibition has given rise to an endless network of underground distilleries, speakeasies, gangsters, and corrupt cops. Joe Coughlin, the youngest son of a prominent Boston police captain, has long since turned his back on his strict and proper upbringing. Now having graduated from a childhood of petty theft to a career in the pay of the city’s most fearsome mobsters, Joe enjoys the spoils, thrills, and notoriety of being an outlaw. But life on the dark side carries a heavy price.”

Live by Night also stars Scott Eastwood, Elle Fanning, Zoe Saldana, Sienna Miller, Chris Sullivan, Anthony Michael Hall, Brendan Gleeson, Titus Welliver, Chris Messina, Chris Cooper, Max Casella, Derek Mears, J.D. Evermore, and Robert Glenister.
