Kevin Tancharoen is not directing Mortal Kombat Legacy‘s Film Adaptation. It all began with Kevin Tancharoen’s short film Mortal Kombat: Rebirth and now it has ended with a enigmatic announcement via Twitter. For someone to work his way up from a short film to being given the green light for a web series to the director’s chair of a motion picture (his ultimate goal) to rejecting said chair is dubious. Something had to have gone wrong behind the scenes for Tancharoen to step away after all the work he had put in.
The Kevin Tancharoen, Mortal Kombat resignation Twitter message:
“After 3 years of Kombat, I’ve decided to move on to other creative opportunities. I wish everyone involved in the movie big success. Thanks!”
Do you buy that? I don’t. I think he is being very gracious.
