The Outlander trailers. Viking vs. Aliens. Watch the trailer if you don’t believe me. It actually looks badass. Trailer 2 is the best one so far. Synopsis (contains spoilers): “Outlander begins when a space craft crashes into the majestic fjords of ancient Norway and into the time of the Vikings. From the wreckage emerge two bitter enemies: a soldier from another world – Kainan – and a bloodthirsty creature known as the Moorwen. Man and monster both seeking revenge for violence committed against them. As the Moorwen ravages the Viking world, killing everything in its path, Kainan forms an unlikely alliance with the primitive but fierce warriors. Combining his advanced technology with ancient Iron Age weapons, the hero leads a desperate attempt to kill the monster - before it destroys them all.”

This trailer looks insane. Thanks for sharing!
No problem Trench.
Yeah , I know. The second trailer really sells this film.
I hate reading that stuff has been on the shelf for awhile (like this supposedly is) it just taints the movie and the way its reported on. I just hope its better than Pathfinder, another movie that took forever to come out that I was initially buzzed to see but was disappointing in the end.
Pathfinder SUCKED! good trailer but the film sucked!!!!!!!
Being on the shelf does throw a taint over films sometimes but Phonebooth was on the shelf for a while and that was a good flick.
The concept for Outlander seems interesting. If its handled right it could be good.
I think this is going to suffer the fate of the upcoming Midnight Meat Train, Death Defying Acts and the great All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (which I saw a test screeing of almost 2 yrs ago), a small 5 theatre opening followed quickly by a DVD release, probably a Blockbuster exclusive which I see they have tons of now of unreleased movies with big stars.
There is an campaign ongoing to get Meat Train a theatrical release. Who knows if it will be successful or not. I’m going to have to look up Death Defying Acts and I’m watching All the Boys Love Mandy Lane this afternoon. You lucky bastard. How the hell do you get into all these test screenings?
I write for three sites now and haven’t gotten into any yet. Blockbuster must be loving the exclusives they get because of their Weinstein deal.
