The X-Files Babylon Promo. Fox‘s The X-Files: Season 10, Episode 5: Babylon TV show trailer stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Fox Mulder and Dana Scully will pair up with two agents who strikingly resemble them.

The X-Files: Season 10’s plot synopsis: Fox Mulder and Dana Scully reunite to investigate a conspiracy much bigger than either previously imagined. Learning that the government, not aliens, are responsible for UFOs and abductions, the two veteran FBI agents set out to expose the conspirators and other things that go bump in the night.

The episode will feature David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Mitch Pileggi, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, William B. Davis, Artin John, Garry Chalk, Marci T. House, Eric Breker, Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Nina Nayebi.

The trailer introduces viewers to FBI Special Agents Miller and Einstein. The two agents bear uncanny similarities to Mulder and Scully, with the red-headed Einstein explaining that she, like Agent Scully, is a medical doctor. Amazed by the coincidence, Scully half-jokingly asks if Miller is “obsessed with the paranormal”. The humor seems to fly over Miller’s head, as he earnestly responds “That’s why we’re here”. We then see footage of an explosion detonating inside a building and heavily-armed law enforcement officers swarming around the scene. The trailer cuts back to Agent Miller, who explains that one of the perpetrators of the bombing managed to survive. Agent Einstein contradicts this, saying that he’s dead, even though his heart is somehow still beating. Mulder offers to attempt to communicate with the bomber, only for Einstein to confide later to Miller that she “pities” Scully for having to put up with Mulder’s theories. Miller expresses excitement on the other hand, saying this appears to be his “dream assignment.” Then Einstein is shown berating Mulder for trying to involve her in his “lunatic scheme”, prompting a confused Mulder to ask which exact part of it is “lunatic”. Miller says everything about it is, as a nonplussed Mulder continues, “So that’s a maybe?”
