The Astronaut Wives Club, Texas Rising, and Final Exam have all made recent TV show casting news. These shows air on CBS, History, Lifetime, Starz, and TNT respectively.

Jake Busey has been cast in History’s miniseries Texas Rising (working title) from A+E Studios and ITV Studios America…Busey will play the older brother of “Big Foot Wallace”, Samuel Wallace, who recites the legendary admonition “Remember the Alamo.”

Final Exam

Keegan Allen has joined the cast of Final Exam…It centers on Megan Harris (Shenae Grimes), who can’t stop dreaming about a night that never happened. It involves a rowdy party, her sorority sisters and a hazing ritual that ended in the death of an innocent girl. She awakens from the nightmare every morning to find she’s sustained a traumatic injury and her brain can no longer retain the day’s memories once she has fallen asleep. Her quest to find the truth before she sleeps sends her on a downward spiral that has her wondering whether she can even trust herself. Shooting begins next week in Canada. Allen will play Dr. Trent Rothman, Megan’s friend from college and now her doctor, who is trying to help get her short-term memory back.

The Astronaut Wives Club (ABC)

Dominique McElligott is set for a starring role in ABC’s 10-episode drama series The Astronaut Wives Club…McElligott will play Louise Shepard, a real life “Sabrina” whose father was the head of maintenance at the Duponts’ Longwood Gardens estate. She struggles to uphold her “perfect” image and her complicated marriage once her husband Alan becomes the first American in space. Louise and Alan had one of the few marriages that survived the space program, staying together for 53 years.
