TV Casting: LAST SHIP, GAME OF THRONES, John Travolta in AMERICAN CRIME STORY: THE PEOPLE V. O.J. SIMPSON [Updated]

The Last Ship, Game of Thrones, and American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson have made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on TNT, HBO, and FX.

Bruce Nozick has booked a season-long recurring role for Season 2 of TNT’s The Last Ship…Nozick…will play Dr. Milowsky, a virologist and genetic engineer, who is rescued and joins the crew of Nathan James to assist their medical staff.

Game of Thrones (HBO)

Nell Williams will be playing the role of young Cersei.

The big news for Game of Thrones season 5 was that the show would finally be including at least one flashback, possibly as part of a dream.

Without revealing spoilers, the flashback involves Cersei and a friend of hers visiting with an older woman called Maggy the Frog.

Hattie Gotobed…recently filmed a role on Game of Thrones.

According to her Spotlight CV, the character’s name is Ghita. There is no further information on the part.

Orange Is the New Black (Netflix)

Ruby Rose broke the news on her official Facebook page that she’ll be joining the cast of the hit Netflix series slated to air this summer.

Netflix also told TheWrap that Rose will portray Stella Carlin, a sarcastic inmate at Litchfield Federal Correctional Institution. Her looks catch the attention of inmates, including bickering lovers Piper (Tayler Schilling) and Alex (Laura Prepon).

Shannara (MTV)

Ivana Baquero has been cast opposite Poppy Drayton and Austin Butler in Shannara…Baquero…will play Eretria, a young woman from the wrong side of the tracks who’s been forced to use her beauty and wits to survive. She’s a human who has been raised in a den of thieves known as the Rovers. When she rescues Wil from danger she becomes unwittingly tied to he and Amberle’s (Drayton) quest to save the Four Lands.

Go Jerrod Go (NBC)

Lil Rel (Friends Of The People) has landed a series regular role in Go Jerrod Go, NBC’s comedy pilot starring Jerrod Carmichael and written by Carmichael and Nick Stoller…Lil Rel…will play Jerrod’s loveable but ne’re-do-well brother Bobby, whose crazy money-making schemes never pan out.
