Uwe Boll Petition

uwe-boll-petition.jpg

There is an Uwe Boll petition going around the internet asking for Uwe Boll to stop making film in any shape or form. This is probably one of the greatest and most needed film petitions in recent history. Uwe Boll has lobotomized many viable film properties to the point of making their characters and story lines absurd. In another director’s hands, these films may not have been noteworthy but would have been immensely more watchable, shot with a finer cinematic eye and put together with a better sense of direction than they were under Boll. I mean, how do you f*ck up a vampire movie staring Natassia Malthe?

All you need are a couple of well placed, semi-nude body shots (like the picture above), kick ass, well choreographed fight scenes, a decent script, a good score and some nice editing. I have seen student films that had some or all of these components in greater degrees than those found in BloodRayne II: Deliverance. Boll said in an interview that he was aware of this petition but wouldn’t pay attention or consider it until it reached a million signatures. So please, P.L.E.A.S.E. sign this petition. My signature was number 86,571. What number is yours?

He’s the only genius in the business? Give me a fraking break. I read Bay and Roth’s comments around 4am. They both gave diplomatic, classy responses, Roth’s being the funnier of the two (of course). Boll has got BALLS to put out that video. How self-diluted can you possibly be about your own work to ascribe the moniker of genius to it? Especially when that work, at best, is poor.

I know. What’s your petition number? You would think Boll’s skill would have advanced with each film but it seems to have stayed the same.

I think Boll gets a kick that anyone pays attention to him. There are at least 100 movies out there similar to the ones he makes and you’d be hard press to name the director of any of them, the mere fact that he has made a name for himself, even if its as the maker of shitty films is a hoot to him. And Film, I think you’re taking his video too seriously, how can anyone respond to the attacks he gets but in a humorous way? I think we’d all miss Boll if he was gone, the man boxed his critics for pete’s sake. Let’s face it, he makes shitty films off of shitty video games, he’s never going to get near a respectable license.

I think he gets a kick out of it too. I don’t understand how he keeps getting directing jobs. You would think Boll would be the last person studios would go to for a film director. He must come very cheap and make all the promises in the world to the studios. “It will be better this time, I swear.”

I dont even think its that, originally I read he used investors and tax loopholes in Germany to get money to finance all his films, so studios were basically buying ready made product.

I heard that as well but how does he then get B and A-list people to star in his flicks? Don’t they know how bad his other films are? I guess a pay check will make some people star in anything.

It is a mystery isn’t it? How does he get 10 million+ budget for each movie he makes, hiring decent actors even. Maybe he knows dark magic? Aha, a pact with the devil? He sold his soul so he can keep making crap movies? Must be… surely. Anyway, signed! 184486

    Nice STG.

Wow. An additional 100,000 signatures since I signed 3 days ago. This petition may actually have a chance of reaching a million.

Boll is in congress with the beast. That’s how he raises money for his films and acquires semi-notable actors.

You want to know how he gets decent actors? Simple-car payments, house payments, college tuition, alimony, etc..

True but they won’t be decent actors for long if they continue to star in his films.
