Comcast Out Bids Fox For Sky

Comcast has out bid 21st Century Fox for Sky at a price tag of £17.28 ($22.57) per share, about $40 billion (£30.6 billion). That bet Fox’s bid of £15.67 ($20.46) per share.

Both companies must now make their offers official. On Saturday, Sky’s Independent Committee unanimously recommended Comcast’s offer. Sky shareholders have until October 11 to accept the offer.

Veronica Mars Revival Green-lit

The Veronica Mars revival on Hulu has been given the go ahead.  The eight episode new season will air on Hulu in 2019. All past episodes of Veronica Mars, including the feature film, will be available starting in the summer of 2019 on Hulu.

Veronica Mars‘ plot synopsis: “Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. The Walking Dead Universe is Expanding

The Walking Dead universe will be expanding into more TV spin-offs and feature films.

AMC needs is a partner to help take on the enormous venture, something the company is actively seeking at the moment. Per the report, AMC has talked to several large media companies about partnering on projects, which would apparently cost upwards of several hundred million dollars.

The episode will be entitled ‘Nightmare on Elk Avenue’ and “centers on the fears of the show’s teenage protagonist, Adam, after seeing A Nightmare on Elm Street when it premiered way back in 1984. Enter Englund, who will reprise his iconic role for what he calls “a spooky valentine to the fans.”
