The official plot synopsis of The Mandalorian:

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Deborah Chow, Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Taika Waititi will be directing episodes of The Mandalorian. Dave Filoni  will be directing the first episode.

The Righteous Gemstones is Moving Forward on HBO

Danny McBrid‘s comedy TV series, The Righteous Gemstones, has been given a full series order by HBO.

The Righteous Gemstones will also star John Goodman, who will play Eli Gemstone, a stern, world-famous televangelist known for his weekly television show, global ministries and aggressive salvation techniques. McBride will play his eldest son Jesse, a man looking to branch out on his own by adapting his father’s famous teachings for a modern audience.

Siren Renewed For Season Two by Freeform

Siren has been renewed for a second season, which will premiere on Freeform on January 24, 2019.

20th Century Fox is Adapting Spy School Into a Film

Stuart GibbsSpy School book series has been optioned by 20th Century Fox to be made in film. Gibbs will write the screenplay for the family film.

Spy School‘s plot synopsis: “Spy School follows middle schooler Ben Ripley, who dreams of becoming a CIA agent. Even though he is awkward and accident prone, he is brilliant and recruited for a magnet school with a focus on science that actually is a front for a junior CIA academy. Ben finds out that he was admitted due to a case of mistaken identity, but he doesn’t let this stop him from trying to morph into an undercover agent. Through a series of zany misadventures, Ben realizes he actually might make a halfway decent spy — if he can survive all the attempts being made on his life.”

Lodge 49 Renewed For Season Two by AMC

Lodge 49 has been renewed for a second season that will premiere on AMC in 2019.The second season of Lodge 49 will be ten episodes long.

Heathers Rebooted & Retooled by Paramount Network

The canceled Heathers film-to-TV series adaptation has again been set to air on Paramount Network. Initially cancelled do its aggressive material following multiple school shootings in the United States in 2017-2018, those scenes have been deleted from the TV series as well as a scene from the film where the high school is blown up. Something different will now happen at the end of the first season.

Season One of Heathers will now run as a week long marathon starting on October 25, 2018. There is no word yet on whether or not there will be a Season Two.
