Universal Pictures has released the second teaser trailer for Aladdin (2019). The first teaser trailer for Aladdin can be viewed here. This special look video for Aladdin offers the viewer their first look at Will Smith as the Genie (for better or for worse).

Aladdin‘s plot synopsis: “ALADDIN is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, the film is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.”

Guy Ritchie‘s Aladdin also stars Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen, Numan Acar, and Kamil Lemieszewski.

What actor is playing what character in the film:

Egyptian-born Canadian actor Mena Massoud (from the Amazon series “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”) as the titular Aladdin, WIll Smith as the Genie, Marwan Kenzari as sorcerer Jafar; Navid Negahban as Princess Jasmine’s father, The Sultan; Nasim Pedrad as Princess Jasmine’s best friend Dalia, and Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders.

Guy Ritchie and John August wrote the screenplay for this film.
