AMITYVILLE (2015): Cameron Monaghan Cast in Remake & Release Date Set

Cameron Monaghan

Cameron Monaghan cast in Amityville, Release Date Set. The casting of Cameron Monaghan in Amityville (2015) answer the question of who will play a key character in the Franck Khalfoun directed film. Since Monaghan and co-star Bella Thorn both have red hair and the film involves siblings, I think it would be fair to assume they will be playing brother and sister. If that is the case, Jennifer Jason Leigh will play their characters’ mother in the film.

Franck Khalfoun (“Maniac”) wrote and will direct the horror movie for Dimension Films and Blumhouse…

Jason Blum is producing for Blumhouse Productions along with Casey La Scala and Daniel Farrands, while Matthew Stein and Alix Taylor will executive produce.

The franchise is based on Jay Anson’s book “The Amityville Horror: A True Story.”

On the book the film is based on:

In December 1975, George and Kathy Lutz and their three children moved into 112 Ocean Avenue, a large Dutch Colonial house in Amityville, a suburban neighborhood located on the south shore of Long Island, New York. Thirteen months before the Lutzes moved in, Ronald DeFeo, Jr. had shot and killed six members of his family at the house. After 28 days, the Lutzes left the house, claiming to have been terrorized by paranormal phenomena while living there.
