New Images of Amber Heard as Mera on Aquaman Surfaces

Production has officially begun for the upcoming film Aquaman, and to mark the occasion we have some new images to share. These new photos in question are another amazing look at Amber Heard as Arthur Curry’s love interest and later wife, Mera.

Our first photo was shown by director James Wan on Twitter showing Mera as she appears in the new solo film starring Jason Momoa. Amber Heard also posted a picture on her feed of her in costume as the Queen of the Sea from a slightly different viewpoint. It seems we have a lot more color in Mera’s costume as we spot more green suits and red hair, which means we are getting an accurate portrayal as the character. We first got a glimpse at Amber’s character Mera in the upcoming Justice League, where she will be making her debut in the DC Extended Universe. In this one, it looks like she went for a swim and came back on dry line. In the film, she is being portrayed as a warrior and a sorcerer.

With many cameras starting to roll for production of Warner Bros. next DC film in Australia, so we can expect more photos from the cast in the coming weeks. Don’t forget to check back in with us as we find more photos from the film. What do you guys think of Mera so far? Do you think Amber Heard will give justice to the character?
