Joe Manganiello Begins Research of Deathstroke for Batman Film

It’s been publicly known that Joe Manganiello will play Deathstroke in Ben Affleck’s Batman solo film. The actor has already started working on the role of Slade Wilson by doing some research on the character, and one of them involves reading up on the comics.

Joe Manganiello recently went on Twitter teasing to his fans on his upcoming anti-hero role. The actor tweeted a photo of all this merchandise he has on Deathstroke for his preparation. Among this collection are a bunch of Funko POPs, action figures from Batman: Arkham Origins, and Geoff John’s first volume of Batman: Earth One. The series re-imagines Batman’s origin story and his enemies, but Slade isn’t in it. Is Manganiello reading up on it to get himself familiar with the film’s plot? It doesn’t seem like it, but it it an interesting choice for research.
