With the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic to the film industry, quite a few films are moving to release later so that they get a proper release in movie theaters. Bios was originally supposed to release October 2, 2020 but has been moved to release April 16, 2021 instead.

The film is an upcoming science fiction drama starring Tom Hanks, which takes place on a post-apocalyptic earth, following a poorly sick robotics engineer by the name of Finch (Hanks), who lives with his dog, Goodyear, in an underground bunker, having survived a cataclysmic solar event that has left the world a wasteland. Finch creates a robot, Jeff (voiced by Caleb Landry Jones), to protect, care for, and keep his dog company after he dies, knowing his days are severely numbered. The three embark on a journey across the country with one another. Along this journey, Finch teaches Jeff about life, love, friendship, and what it means to be human. The film is directed by Miguel Sapochnick (Game of Thrones) and penned by writers Craig Luck and Ivor Powell.
