BITE (2015) Movie Poster: Insect-Related Body-Horror!

Bite Poster Released

Bite Movie Poster Depicts Infected Bride-To-Be. There’s a new horror film by Chad Archibald, a man who’s been steadily working in the horror genre for the past ten years. Perusing his IMDb credits, its clear that he’s been working on B-movies, independent horror films that make back their budget and stay in their lane, as they say. I have not seen a single one of his films, but after this news, I might give his newest a shot.

While Bloody-Disgusting doesn’t have an exclusive plot synopsis, they did report on the new poster, and it looks pretty good. Regarding the storyline, we’ll have to trust the user-submitted synopsis posted on IMDb, too.

While on her bachelorette party getaway, Casey, the bride to be, gets a seemingly harmless bite from an unknown insect. After returning home with cold feet, Casey tries to call off her wedding but before she’s able to, she starts exhibiting insect like traits. Between her physical transformation and her wedding anxiety, Casey succumbs to her new instincts and begins creating a hive that not only houses her translucent eggs, but feeds on the flesh of others. As her transformation becomes complete, Casey discovers that everything can change with a single bite.

Now that sounds like a very traditional body-horror storyline, and I’m interested enough to seek this out. I love very basic, traditionally paced, transformation films. The insect-related body-horror that is sure to ensue already has me feeling itchier than usual.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
