The theatrical movie box office results for January 20, 2023 through January 22, 2023 have been released.
Avatar: The Way of Water was Number One at the box office for the sixth week in a row with $19.6 Million for $597.6 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made over $2.02 Billion.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish was Second at the box office with $11.5 Million for $126.4 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made over $284.1 Million.
Megan was Third over the weekend with $9.8 Million so far.
Missing premiered in Fourth Place in the United States with $9.1 Million so far.
A Man Called Otto was Fifth at the box office over the weekend with $8.8 Million.
These films: Plane, House Party, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond (which premiered this weekend), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and The Whale rounded out the top ten respectively.

Missing is a 2023 American mystery thriller film written and directed by Nick Johnson and Will Merrick (in their directorial debuts), from a story by Sev Ohanian and the first film’s director Aneesh Chaganty. It is a standalone sequel to the 2018 film Searching. The film stars Storm Reid, Joaquim de Almeida, Ken Leung, Amy Landecker, Daniel Henney, and Nia Long. Its plot follows June Allen, a teenager who tries to find her missing mother after she disappears on vacation in Colombia with her new boyfriend.
