The theatrical movie box office results for January 13, 2023 through January 15, 2023 have been released.

Avatar: The Way of Water was Number One at the box office for the fifth week in a row with $31.1 Million for $562.9 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made over $1.89 Billion.

Megan was Second for the second week in a row over the weekend with $17.9 Million so far.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish was Third for the second week in a row at the box office with $13.4 Million for $106.3 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made over $247.4 Million.

A Man Called Otto was Fourth for the second week in a row with $12.6 Million.

Plane premiered in Fifth at the box office over the weekend with $10 Million so far.

These films: House Party (which premiered this weekend), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Whale, and Waltair Veerayya (which premiered this weekend) rounded out the top ten respectively.

Plane is a 2023 American action-thriller film directed by Jean-François Richet, written by Charles Cumming and J. P. Davis, and starring Gerard Butler, Mike Colter, Yoson An, and Tony Goldwyn. The films centers around a pilot (Butler) allying with a prisoner (Colter) to save his passengers from a hostile territory they landed in for an emergency landing.

House Party is a 2023 American comedy film directed by Calmatic (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by Jamal Olori and Stephen Glover, serving as a reboot and remake of the 1990 film of the same name. The film stars Tosin Cole, Jacob Latimore, Karen Obilom, D.C. Young Fly, and Scott Mescudi, and follows two young aspiring club promoters working as house cleaners who throw a party at their latest job site: LeBron James’ mansion. It is produced by New Line Cinema and James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Company.

Waltair Veerayya is a 2023 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film stars Chiranjeevi as the titular character alongside Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, and Catherine Tresa.
