The theatrical movie box office results for December 23, 2022 through December 25, 2022 have been released.

Avatar: The Way of Water was Number One at the box office for the second week in a row with $64 Million for $261.6 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made over $863.3 Million.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish premiered in Second Place over the weekend with $11.3 Million so far.

Whitney Houston I Wanna Dance With Somebody premiered in Third Place with $5.3 Million so far.

Babylon premiered in Fourth Place with $3.6 Million so far.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was Fifth over weekend with $3.5 Million for $426.1 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made over $799.9 Million.

These films: Violent Night, The Whale, The Menu, The Fabelmans, and Strange World rounded out the top ten respectively.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a 2022 American computer-animated adventure film that is a sequel to Puss in Boots (2011), a spin-off of the Shrek franchise, and the sixth installment thereof. Produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures, it was directed by Joel Crawford and co-directed by Januel Mercado, from a screenplay by Paul Fisher and Tommy Swerdlow, based on a story by Swerdlow and the first film’s writer Tom Wheeler, with additional screenplay material provided by Etan Cohen. The voice cast includes Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek reprising their respective roles as the titular character and Kitty Softpaws, joined by Harvey Guillén, Florence Pugh, Olivia Colman, Ray Winstone, Samson Kayo, John Mulaney, Wagner Moura, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Anthony Mendez who voice new characters introduced in the film. Set after Shrek Forever After (2010), the film follows Puss in Boots’ (Banderas) journey as he sets to find the mystical Last Wish for the Wishing Star and restore the eight of his nine lives that he lost while escaping new enemies (Pugh, Mulaney, and Moura) who plan to hunt him down, with the help of his friends (Hayek and Guillén).

Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody is a 2022 American biographical musical drama film directed by Kasi Lemmons, from a screenplay by Anthony McCarten. It is based on the life and career of American pop singer and actress Whitney Houston. The film stars Naomi Ackie, Stanley Tucci, Ashton Sanders, Tamara Tunie, Nafessa Williams, and Clarke Peters.

Babylon is a 2022 American epic period comedy-drama film written and directed by Damien Chazelle. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Diego Calva, Jean Smart, Jovan Adepo, and Li Jun Li. Its plot chronicles the rise and fall of multiple fictitious characters during Hollywood’s transition from silent to sound films in the late 1920s.
