Brothers (2009) Movie Trailer has premiered. Brothers (2009) is directed by Jim Sheridan and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, and Natalie Portman. Brothers (2009) plot synopsis: based on the Susanne Bier’s 2004 film Brødre, “when a decorated Marine goes missing overseas, his black-sheep younger brother cares for his wife and children at home—with consequences that will shake the foundation of the entire family.” Brothers (2009) tells the story of polar opposite siblings, Captain Sam Cahill (Tobey Maguire), a Marine about to embark on his fourth tour of duty, and younger brother Tommy Cahill (Jake Gyllenhaal), Sam’s charismatic younger brother, a drifter just out of jail who’s always gotten by on wit and charm, and Sam’s high school sweetheart Grace (Natalie Portman). I saw the trailer for this at the movies this weekend and was blown away by the circumstances and the performances, especially emaciated Maguire’s. It seems as though this might be one of his best performances to date. What his daughter says to him at the dinner table (stones) and him going wild with the police seven feet away outside his house were the highlights of the movie trailer for me. Watch the Brothers (2009) Movie Trailer and leave your thoughts on it below. Brothers (2009) will be released on December 4, 2009.
