Dark Phoenix Trailer 2

Warner Bros. has released the second movie trailer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019). The first movie trailer for Dark Phoenix can be viewed here. I like what I see in this trailer. It’s a good-looking movie. Unfortunately, this trailer gives away a major event in this film (you’ll know it when you see it). Second, Dark Phoenix looks like more of the same. What sets it apart from the other X-Men films? Finally, this film is following Logan. That is an extremely tough act to follow.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix‘s plot synopsis: “In Dark Phoenix, the X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable.

Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling our of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite – not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.”

X-Men: Dark Phoenix also stars Sophie Turner, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan, Michael Fassbender, Jessica Chastain, Evan Peters, Summer Fontana, Scott Shepherd, Ato Essandoh, Daniel Cudmore, and Evan Jonigkeit.
