Thoughts on This Week’s In-home Releases

The home releases of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, The Lost City, The Duke, Hellbender, Species, Pleasure, Nope, and The 4400 are the most noteworthy releases (and pre-orders) on home video and streaming services this week.

FilmBook Writer Thomas Duffy reviewed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and had this to say about the film:

You’ll be completely immersed in the action as Strange bounces all around the multiverse. Whether he’s living or dead in the universe he ends up in, there is great fun to be had wherever he winds up. These actors in the movie are all at the top of their game. Cumberbatch and Olsen move this film along at the speed of lightning with Olsen always trying to cut a step ahead of Cumberbatch and, mostly, succeeding.

FilmBook Writer Thomas Duffy reviewed The Lost City and had this to say about the film:

The Lost City is a picture that actually holds a candle to similarly themed 1980’s films like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Romancing the Stone. This film could have been released years ago with its fun, old school premise with throwbacks to both of those aforementioned films and all I can say is that it’s a welcome surprise to see a movie as entertaining as this one which could have fallen victim to being a slave to its action scenes like Jungle Cruise did.

FilmBook Writer Thomas Duffy reviewed Hellbender and had this to say about the film:
