2018 Emmy Awards Nominations List

Game of Thrones, Saturday Night Live, Westworld, and the other nominations for the 2018 Primetime Emmy Awards have been announced. The 70th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards “often referred to simply as the Emmy, is a television production award, similar in nature to the Peabody Awards but more focused on entertainment, and is considered the television equivalent to the Academy Awards (for film), Grammy Awards (for music) and Tony Awards (for stage).”

The three TV series that earned the most nominations last year earned the most nominations this year. Game of Thrones led the nomination pool with twenty-two nominations. Westworld earned twenty-one nominations as did Saturday Night Live.

In total, Netflix received 112 Emmy nominations this year, beating HBO in the number of nominations for the first time.
