THE FLASH: Katie Cassidy To Appear in Penultimate Episode as Black Siren [The CW]

Katie Cassidy Black Siren

Arrow’s Katie Cassidy to Guest Star in Penultimate Episode of The Flash. We may have one more crossover coming on The Flash before the season’s over. This time, Arrow’s Katie Cassidy will be crossing over to the spin-off, however, she will be appearing as an alternate character.

EW reports that Katie Cassidy will be appearing in the second-to-last episode of the second season of The Flash as an Earth-2 version of Laurel Lance. Rather than being called the Black Canary, she will be known as the Black Siren. EP Marc Guggenheim confirmed the news during a press screening. In the Justice League animated series, the Black Siren is based on the Golden Age version of Black Canary. So it looks like Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) may be heading back to Earth-2 if it means running into Laurel over there.

We may also see Cassidy’s character on the web when she provides her voice as the original Laurel in the second season of Vixen.
