According to Birth.Movies.Death, “An adaptation of the JG Ballard novel of the same name, High-Rise tells the story of Dr. Robert Laing (Tom Hiddleston), who moves into a luxury high-rise which has been segregated according to class, with the poors at the bottom, the middle class desperately treading water in the middle, and the one-percenters living up top. When the tension between these groups moves from a simmer to a boil, things get ugly. Really ugly. And surprisingly funny!

High-Rise was one of the most talked-about films at this year’s Fantastic Fest…and one of its most divisive. I see no middle-ground in this movie’s future; this is the kind of thing you’re either going to be entirely onboard with or utterly repulsed by…and it’ll be interesting to see what the consensus is once it’s made available to the masses.”

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
