JACKIE (2017) Movie Image: Natalie Portman is Jacqueline Onassis

Natalie Portman Jackie

Jackie Movie Image Released. Here I was, sitting under a tree, wondering what Natalie Portman was up to. How come she hasn’t appeared in anything recently? Is she acting these days, or caring for her kid? Huh. I guess I’ll just have to wait and – hey, what’s this? Oh, a picture of Natalie Portman in a new film? So THAT’S what she’s been up to! Hurray!

Sorry about that.

Natalie Portman has been hard at work on a project that focuses on Jackie Kennedy’s life post-JFK, post-horrible, horrific trauma that almost nobody can relate to. The movie image shows the uncanny resemblance (though some say Rachel Weisz would be a better fit – at least physically).

Take a look at the first movie still for Jackie (2017), followed by a comparison shot.

According to Deadine, “LD Entertainment and Bliss Media have joined Protozoa Pictures’ Jackie to finance and produce the film from director Pablo Larraín. Shooting is underway in Paris on the movie that follows the movements of Jacqueline Kennedy after the assassination of her husband, President John F. Kennedy.

Darren Aronofsky is producing with his Protozoa partners Scott Franklin and Ari Handel, along with Fabula Films’ Juan de Dios Larraín and LD Entertainment CEO Mickey Liddell. Bliss Media is co-financing and co-producing, and its China-based company Bliss Media China will distribute the pic in that territory.

Noah Oppenheim (Allegiant) penned the script which was on the 2010 Black List.”

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
