KEANU (2016) Red Band Movie Trailer: Key & Peele are Hilarious

Jordan Peele Keegan-Michael Key Keanu

Keanu Red Band Trailer. Peter Atencio‘s Keanu (2016) red band movie trailer stars Jordan Peele, Keegan-Michael Key, Jason Mitchell, Luis Guzmán, and Will Forte. Keanu‘s plot synopsis: “the film follows two ‘blerds’ (read: black nerds) who impersonate gangstas and infiltrate a drug cartel to rescue a stolen cat (named Keanu).”

This trailer made me laugh out loud multiple times. The “black” caricatures were hilarious, like Robert Downey Jr’s performance in Tropic Thunder. The fact that they were able to create an entire movie around a cute cat is pretty impressive.

The fish-out-of-water motif, seen thousands of times, in thousands of incarnations, looks better than ever with Key and Peele at its helm.

Keanu also stars Nia Long, Rob Huebel, Rob Huebel, Madison Wolfe, Dennise Renae Larson, Starlette Miariaunii, Tiffany Haddish, Sam Medina, Naomi Melton, and Darrell Britt-Gibson.
