KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE (2015): Latest Movie Trailer & Posters

New movie trailer & posters for Fox‘s Kingsman: The Secret Service. Kingsman: The Secret Service, directed/ co-written by Matthew Vaughn, stars Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Michael Caine, Mark Strong, Sofia Boutella, and Samuel L. Jackson.

After having its scheduled release date pushed back (it was originally slated for October 24, 2014), Kingsman: The Secret Service is back on the promotional horse; rolling out a new trailer, accompanying a quartet of variant character posters.

As previously mentioned, much of the film – based on a comic by Mark Millar & Dave Gibbons – is a send-up of/ tribute to cold war spy films, like the 007 series. Multiple references are made, as such, in the trailer; ranging from the original inspiration for Valentine’s (Samuel L. Jackson) over-the-top overtures, to the naming of central trainee, Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin’s (Taron Egerton), personal pug. If those points prove too subtle, however, then consider the four posters – each prominently featuring the unmistakable lower body of Valentine enforcer, Gazelle (Sofia Boutella), framing a different key character – modeled after the classic James Bond poster to For Your Eyes Only (which might as well have been “for your thighs, only”… maybe “for your scythes, only,” in this case…. ).

Unlike the original, the latest trailer takes the focus away from the “trials of the potent protégé” angle, and divvies the attention between mentor, Harry Hart’s (Colin Firth), mission (for which he will need protégés), and the colorful quirks of Valentine. It also proves that a killer pair of legs is only as good as its owner’s ability to put them to badass use.

Kingsman: The Secret Service also features Jack Davenport, Sophie Cookson, Tom Prior, and Geoff Bell, with appearances by Mark Hamill, Elton John, Adele, Lady Gaga, and David Beckham. It is now scheduled for a Februrary 13, 2015 release.
