YOUTH (2015) Movie Trailer & Poster: Michael Caine Reflects on Life

Youth Poster & Trailer

Youth Movie TrailerPaolo Sorrentino‘s Youth (2015) movie trailer stars Michael CaineHarvey KeitelRachel Weisz, and Jane FondaYouth‘s plot synopsis: “Fred and Mick, two old friends, are on vacation in an elegant hotel at the foot of the Alps. Fred, a composer and conductor, is now retired. Mick, a film director, is still working. They look with curiosity and tenderness on their children’s confused lives, Mick’s enthusiastic young writers, and the other hotel guests. While Mick scrambles to finish the screenplay for what he imagines will be his last important film, Fred has no intention of resuming his musical career. But someone wants at all costs to hear him conduct again.”

If you’ve seen Sorrentino’s The Great Beauty (2013), or simply glanced at the poster, you can tell this film was directed by him. There’s something about the color palette, combined with the steadicam shots (and, of course, an old man in a suit and glasses) that now signifies this guy’s directorial style. I like it.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
