VALLEY OF THE SASQUATCH (2016) Movie Trailer & Poster: Bigfoot Fights Intruders

Vally Of The Sasquatch Trailer and Poster

Valley Of The Sasquatch Movie Trailer and Movie Poster. John Portanova‘s Valley Of The Sasquatch (2016) movie trailer stars Bill Oberst Jr.Miles Joris-Peyrafitte and Jason VailValley Of The Sasquatch‘s plot synopsis: “A fractured family battles against a tribe of angry Sasquatch.”

I love the Bigfoot myth. I love aliens, Men in Black, underground bases, UFOs – the list goes on. The beautiful thing about Sasquatch is that there was, at one point (not that long ago, in the grand scheme of things), an ape called Australopithecus (or, Gigantopithecus) that was enormous, bipedal, and largely resembles the modern image of Bigfoot. What if, with its vast intelligence and predatory dominance, it could’ve survived all these millenia, and kept hidden, in the vast brushes of the Pacific Northwest’s jungle? If they live in caves, bury their dead, and remain hidden from the occasional intruder (how often do we go into the deep forest, anyway? Have we scoped out every inch?) – how far fetched is it really, that Bigfoots still exist?

Well, that was my obsession for a few years, and I still wallow in it, late at night, from time to time. I mourn the fact that there has never been a solid, 10/10 film about Bigfoot, like a mix of Jurassic Park and Jaws or so. A film that takes him seriously, and gives us cinematic vistas of the Pacific Northwest and horror-like moments of tension and terror like The Blair Witch Project. I thought that Bobcat Goldthwait‘s Willow Creek (2014) would be that film, but alas, it was a basic, low-budget, found-footage indie, and not what I expected it to be.

Well, here’s another Bigfoot movie (I’m glad we’re getting them, keep them coming!) that could potentially strike those aforementioned chords for me. Take a look at the movie poster for Valley Of The Sasquatch before checking out the movie trailer below!

According to Bloody-Disgusting, “Devilworks released the official trailer and one-sheet for Valley of the Sasquatch, which stars David Saucedo (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones), Bill Oberst Jr. (Resolution), Jason Vail (Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies), D’Angelo Midili (The Invoking), and Miles Joris-Peyrafitte (Gut).

The poster is by Brandon Schaefer and is said to perfectly illuminate Valley Of The Sasquatch‘s dark, frightening and ultimately stunning core.

‘After losing their home following a devastating loss, a father and son are forced to move to an old family cabin. Neither reacts well to being thrown into this new world. The son’s attempts to relate to his father are complicated when two old friends arrive for a weekend of hunting. This trip into the forest will unearth not only buried feelings of guilt and betrayal, but also a tribe of Sasquatch that are determined to protect their land.’

The film is a co-production between The October People (Found) and Votiv Films (Obvious Child).”

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
