Lindsay Lohan Adds Two More Movies To Existing Netflix Deal

Lindsay Lohan has signed a deal with Netflix that would ensure that at least three movies will be made with the streamer.

Lindsay Lohan, as previously reported, was recently employed by Netflix to make a Christmas-themed romantic comedy movie. When we last revealed this news, it was untitled. Now, the film has a title. It will officially be called Falling for Christmas. In addition, Netflix has inked a contract with the one-time child star to appear in two more projects for the streamer. It seems Lohan is back in business after some ups and downs in her movie career.

Falling for Christmas is the type of mainstream comedy that could get many, many viewers on Netflix. Think of the 1995 smash hit comedy, While You Were Sleeping, or any given Hallmark movie that comes out around the holidays and you get an idea of what this upcoming film will be like. However, with the immensely likable Lohan at the center, this won’t be your typical rom-com. The story of the forthcoming picture revolves around an engaged woman who gets amnesia after an accident and falls in love with an average father/hunk. It is set around the holidays. While hardly the first of its kind, this romantic comedy is poised to launch Lohan back into the limelight.

Lohan has had quite a career. It all started back when she was a child actress in the 1998 Dennis Quaid Disney comedy remake, The Parent Trap, and she later developed into a teen movie star and became a sensation starring in films such as the two box-office hits, Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, which were both directed by comedy genius Mark Waters. We won’t mention the downs of her career but she’s back in action and she just recently appeared in a Super Bowl commercial for Planet Fitness in which she announced that she is aware of her past and ready for the future. She also, not too long ago, took to TikTok to tell fans that people have wrongly pronounced her name for years!

While Lohan may have to wait a bit to make a Mean Girls sequel, which she would really like to do, she is well on her way to success with her newfound success with Netflix. Linsday Lohan can join Hilary Duff, another popular teen actress who was around at Lohan’s peak, in the back-in-action category. Duff has recently done “How I Met Your Father” episodes and people are absolutely loving it. Look for Lohan back on the screen shining again in Falling for Christmas on Netflix this holiday season.
