Lucifer Gets Series Pickup and Offers First Look at Tom Ellis as Title Character. It looks like Fox has made a deal with the King of Hell as Lucifer is given the greenlight to air its freshman season this fall. We also have our first look at actor Tom Ellis as Lucifer himself.

Coming off the pages of The Sandman comics, Lucifer is based off of the popular spinoff series from DC’s Vertigo imprint. Lucifer Morningstar is looking rather dashing in this first look at the King of Hell living it up in the streets of LA. Len Wiseman, who directed Fox’s other series Sleepy Hollow, will direct the pilot episode. Take a look at the British actor in his new digs as the Devil and let us know what you think.
