Plot Synopsis

Midway‘s plot synopsis: “MIDWAY centers on the Battle of Midway [which occurred six months after Pearl Harbor], a clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy which marked a pivotal turning point in the Pacific Theater during WWII. The film, based on the real-life events of this heroic feat, tells the story of the leaders and soldiers who used their instincts, fortitude and bravery to overcome the odds.”

Roland Emmerich‘s Midway stars Woody Harrelson, Dennis Quaid, Patrick Wilson, Ed Skrein, Mandy Moore, Luke Evans, Aaron Eckhart, Jake Weber, Alexander Ludwig, Nick Jonas, Keean Johnson, Luke Kleintank, Darren Criss, Brennan Brown, Tadanobu Asano, Etsushi Toyokawa, and Jun Kunimura.

Woody Harrelson portrays Admiral Chester Nimitz, Patrick Wilson as Lieutenant Commander Edwin T. Layton, and Dennis Quaid takes on the role of Vice Admiral William “Bull” Halsey.
