Mom and Dad Trailer

Brian Taylor‘s Mom and Dad (2017) movie trailer stars Nicolas Cage, Selma Blair, Anne Winters, Lance Henriksen, and Joseph D. Reitman. Mom and Dad‘s plot synopsis: “A teenage girl and her little brother must survive a wild 24 hours during which a mass hysteria of unknown origins causes parents to turn violently on their own kids.”

Can Nicolas Cage please pick a good film to act in? Please. He is uber-talented. Mom and Dad is beneath him. When Cage begins singing the Hokey Pokey…Christ.

Mom and Dad is a Syfy Channel film, aggrandized with a production budget that Syfy could never afford. This film is all concept, a cool horror film premise that never should have been made into an actual film.

Mom and Dad apparently made its world premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival and its United States premiere at 2017 Fantastic Fest to positive reviews. At the Fantastic Fest, I could understand the positive reviews since that festival is all about horror and sci-fi. At TIFF, I’m baffled.

Mom and Dad also stars Rachel Melvin, Olivia Crocicchia, Lorena Diaz, Zackary Arthur, Angie Willmott, Samantha Lemole, Katie Stewart, Bishop Stevens, George Griffith, and Nathaniel Sizemore.
