Manifest Season 4

Netflix saved the original Manifest story from being lost forever! Not only that but the streamer allowed the writers to continue with their original plan that they has all along for the show and characters. The cast joined us for a live discussion and Q & A after we watched the trailer for the upcoming fourth season. Baby Eden is still missing and Ben is in really dark place because of it. Anger prevents connection as the cast noted, and we end up pushing the people we love most away if we have too much of it. We found out that a love triangle plays out throughout season 4 of the show. The cast mentioned how they arguably have the best show runner in the business in Jeff Rake. It’s refreshing to see how actors were empowered to create and the leash the streamer afforded the show runners of where to take the series. WE can’t wait for the fourth season of Manifest to arrive November 4th! Each episode of the upcoming season catches you up on a different persons life, when we get to the end of the season we will all caught on on the happenings amongst the lives of the characters.

The Walking Dead

It was a bittersweet panel for fans of The Walking Dead, as the show is coming to an end finally. The final stages of the characters were discussed and there will be a definitive ending to the show so fans can rest assured that the legendary show will not end without clarity. 905 was Rick’s last episode, and writers and cast asked themselves what did it all mean and that’s the approach they continued to take with every character and episode as the show is coming to an end. What do these people become? The last episodes will have answers for fans..and we were treated to the first minutes of the next episode 18 of the last season.

Spin offs were also mentioned! Dead City is the universe’s third expansion. Darryl and Meg are for sure getting spinoffs, and there still may be more to come on that front! We look forward to seeing how the main story comes to an end and very excited to continue to learn more about Dead City and other spin offs in the works!

Jamie Lee Curtis

Drew Barrymore hosted a career retrospective with legendary Halloween actor Jamie Lee Curtis. There were thousands of Jamie faces in the crowd as hand held masks were given out to fans for a photo op for the movie star at the end of a lively and rewarding discussion.

The original Halloween was shot in just 17 DAYS! Hard to imagine everything in Jamie’s career came from those 17 days, and its something she was visibly moved by throughout the evening. Halloween H20 was intended to be her last and the franchise last film. However because of contractual limitations, mainly how Michael Myers couldn’t be killed as a piece of intellectual property, the ending of the original H20 had to be scrapped, and Jamie for one was not happy about it. She takes these films seriously and she loves her fans, so she made the studio rewrite the entire film and never planned on returning the franchise because of it. But little did she know a young director would come along David Gordon Green with a passion for the franchise and keen perceptual eye to bring her back to the franchise for these last 3 films. Halloween Ends will surely not disappoint!

Thank you to Jamie and to Drew for a lively and fun discussion!
