Paramount Pictures wins Imaginary Friends

Paramount Pictures has won the distribution right to comedy film Imaginary Friends. The film stars Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski in a “Dr. Dolittle-like tale of a man who has the ability to see and talk to people’s imaginary friends, and even befriending those that have been forgotten or discarded. However, things get difficult when he discovers that some imaginary friends, who lack love and friendship, unfortunately turn to the dark side. That’s why it’s up to Reynolds’ character to save the world from those that become evil.”

Krasinski wrote and will be directing the film along with his starring role in the film.

Clueless TV series Reboot On the Way

A Clueless TV series reboot is being developed by CBS TV Studios for airing on a yet undecided TV station or streaming service. The new TV series will be inspired by the 1995 film of the same name and the 1996 TV series.

Clueless TV series reboot’s plot synopsis: “Clueless is also set in high school. It is described as a baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sunglasses-wearing, oat milk latte? and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when the high school Queen Bee (Cher) disappears and her life-long number two (Dionne) steps into Cher’s vacant Air Jordans. How does Dionne deal with the pressures of being the new most popular girl in school, while also unraveling the mystery of what happened to her best friend, all in a setting that is uniquely 2020 LA?”

Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey are writing the screenplays for the TV series.

Doctor Sleep Theatrical Runtime Has Been Released

Doctor Sleep, the sequel to The Shining, has a runtime of 2 hours and 32 minutes, six minutes longer than its predecessor.

Doctor Sleep will be released in U.S. theaters through Warner Bros. on November 8, 2019. There will be special screenings for the film on October 30, 2019.

Netflix Acquires TV Adaptation Rights to Bone Comic Book

The Bone comic book rights have been acquired by Netflix and will be adapted into an animated kids TV series. The comic book series was created by Jeff Smith.

Bone‘s plot synopsis: “The story follows the Bone cousins — the intrepid Fone Bone, the scheming Phoney Bone, and the affable Smiley Bone — on their adventures through a vast, uncharted desert that gives way to a mysterious valley filled with wonderful and terrifying creatures.”
