News: Jaws star dies at 75

royscheider_retna_150.jpgRoy Scheider, made famous for his role in Steven Spielberg’s JAWS (1975) died yesterday at 75. From MSN News: “Scheider died Sunday at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences hospital in Little Rock, hospital spokesman David Robinson said. The hospital did not release his cause of death. However, hospital spokeswoman Leslie Taylor said Scheider had been treated for multiple myeloma at the hospital’s Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy for the past two years.” The last time I saw Scheider in a film, was 1997’s The Rainmaker. Its been a bad few weeks for Hollywood.
