Weekend Impressions

Wonder Woman will be the Number One film at the box office this weekend. It made $11 Million at its Thursday night screenings alone. Wonder Woman is going to do very well. Whether it does Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2-well remains what to be seen. Wonder Woman has entered the box office arena with strong positive buzz. Wonder Woman may be the breath of fresh air that DC Entertainment needs after its last two critically disastrous comic book adaptations (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad respectively).

With Wonder Woman opening in first place this weekend, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie will premiere in Second this weekend, following Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales‘ second week drop. Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie is an animated kids film and is based on a series of popular kids books. Children and their families are going to see film, hoping for another Toy Story film-going experience.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be Third this weekend. If Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales had opened for two of three more weeks, I would say that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 would be Third this weekend. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is holding fantastically well. There is no way that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will do like wise.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be Fourth this weekend.

Baywatch will be Fifth this weekend though it could be Fifth. Baywatch received mixed to bad reviews and it will not hold well.
