OCEAN HEAVEN (2010) Movie Trailer: Xue Xiaolu, Jet Li

The Ocean Heaven Movie Trailer has premiered. Xue Xiaolu‘s Ocean Heaven (2010) stars Jet Li, Wen Zhang, and Kwai Lun-mei. Ocean Heaven‘s plot synopsis: “The story of a father’s tireless love for his autistic son. A terminally ill father’s attempt to teach his autistic son the necessary life skills to survive on his own before he passes away. It is also a poignant tribute to the infinite love that parents have for their children and their unending desire to take care and look after them to their best abilities, no matter the struggle, no matter the effort.” Already available on DVD, this looks great. I am glad to see Jet Li in a dramatic role that doesn’t involve Wushu. It would be even better if an American studio would bestow a dramatic role on his shoulders as well. They would say his accent is a problem. I would say make his accent part of his character. In any case, check out the Ocean Heaven below and leave your thoughts on it. No word yet on a theatrical US release date.
