Sundance Hit ‘Palm Springs’ Get’s Hulu & Drive-In Release Date

Hulu and Neon has announced that Andy Samberg’s Sundance hit ‘Palm Springs’ will premiere on Hulu and in select drive-in theaters nationwide.

Palm Springs is a romantic comedy starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti. Their characters are brought together due to a destination wedding in which they both attend for different reasons.  Samberg portrays Nyles, a carefree guy who attends the wedding as a date of one of the bridesmaids. Nyles ends up saving Milioti’s character, Sarah, a reluctant maid of honor from giving a disastrous wedding toast at the wedding. A turn of events makes their situation problematic when they find themselves unable to escape the venue or each other. The cast also includes J.K. Simmons, Meredith Hagner, Camila Mendes Tyler Hoechlin, and Peter Gallagher. The film was a big hit at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, breaking records for the biggest sale in history of the festival, selling for $22 million dollars (via Deadline). It was directed by Max Barbakow and penned by Andy Siara. The film will premiere on Hulu and in select drive-in theaters this summer on July 10.
