Polytechnique conquers the 30th Genie Awards

Polytechnique ran away with nine awards at the 2010 Genie Awards. Polytechnique is directed by Denis Villeneuve and stars Sébastien Huberdeau, Karine Vanasse, and Maxim Gaudette. Polytechnique‘s plot synopsis: “Set in Montreal, Quebec and based on the École Polytechnique massacre (also known as the “Montreal Massacre”), the film documents the events of December 6, 1989 through the eyes of two students who witness a gunman murder fourteen young women. ” I haven’t seen Polytechnique yet I will seek it out once it has become available in North America.
