Warner Bros. has released new two movie TV commercials for Ready Player One (2018). The first Ready Player One TV spot is entitled ‘Odyssey’ and the second is entitled ‘Change the World.’ The TV commercials are all about the James Halliday contest, the current state of the world, and a revolution. There is a lot of CGI in these commercials and very little character building.

Ready Player One‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Ernest Cline, “In the year 2044, reality is an ugly place. The only time teenage Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the virtual utopia known as the OASIS. Wade’s devoted his life to studying the puzzles hidden within this world’s digital confines–puzzles that are based on their creator’s obsession with the pop culture of decades past and that promise massive power and fortune to whoever can unlock them.

But when Wade stumbles upon the first clue, he finds himself beset by players willing to kill to take this ultimate prize. The race is on, and if Wade’s going to survive, he’ll have to win–and confront the real world he’s always been so desperate to escape.”

Steven Spielberg‘s Ready Player One stars Hannah John-Kamen, T.J. Miller, Ben Mendelsohn, Tye Sheridan, Simon Pegg, Mark Rylance, Olivia Cooke, Lena Waithe, Kae Alexander, Ralph Ineson, Julia Nickson, Letitia Wright, Armani Jackson, Kiera Bell, and Jacob Bertrand.

Ready Player One‘s screenplay was written by Ernest Cline, Zak Penn, and Eric Eason.
