John R. Leonetti‘s The Silence (2019) movie trailer stars Kiernan Shipka, Stanley Tucci, Miranda Otto, John Corbett, and Kate Trotter. The Silence‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Tim Lebbon, “When the world is under attack from terrifying creatures who hunt their human prey by sound, 16-year old Ally Andrews (Kiernan Shipka), who lost her hearing at 13, and her family seek refuge in a remote haven. But they discover a sinister cult who are eager to exploit Ally’s heightened senses.”

Tim Lebbon, the director Annabelle, brings this creature-feature to life. Bird Box and The Quiet Place are two films that I would not want to follow but The Silence is bravely doing so. Mixing in The Birds helps so we will have to wait and see.

The Silence also stars Sarah Abbott, Kate Corbett, Hannah Gordon, Callum Shoniker, Kyle Breitkopf, Dempsey Bryk, Billy MacLellan.
