TERMINATOR: GENISYS (2015): Extended UK TV Spot with J.K. Simmons

Terminator Genisys UK TV Commerical. Alan Taylor‘s Terminator: Genisys (2015) international TV spot entitled ‘Help’ stars J.K. Simmons, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, and Byung Hun Lee. The new promo features new footage, the highlight being J.K. Simmons and his scene with Emilia Clarke. I was really hoping the film took itself seriously throughout its run-time. It looks like that is not the case. Also, why have the Terminator films been degraded to vehicles crashing through walls (glass or otherwise), into other vehicles, CGI non-sense (e.g. a T-800 skydiving out of a helicopter), and set-pieces? Oh, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. We miss you.

Terminator: Genisys‘ plot details: “Sarah Connor isn’t the innocent she was when Linda Hamilton first sported feathered hair and acid-washed jeans in the role. Nor is she Hamilton’s steely zero body-fat warrior in 1991’s T2. Rather, the mother of humanity’s messiah was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. Since then, she’s been raised by…Schwarzenegger’s Terminator—an older T-800 she calls “Pops”—who is programmed to guard rather than to kill. As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who’s great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion.”

Terminator: Genisys also stars Matt Smith, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Gregory Alan Williams, Bryant Prince, Teri Wyble, Courtney B. Vance, Michael Gladis, Sandrine Holt, Matt Smith, and Aaron V. Williamson.
