The New Mutants‘ plot synopsis:”20th Century Fox in association with Marvel Entertainment presents “The New Mutants,” an original horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive.”

The original plot synopsis for the film: “Five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, fight to escape their past sins and save themselves.”

The film centers on five misfit teens who are secretly kept in a detention facility after developing superhuman abilities. They must band together to escape their imprisonment while forming a mutant team which consists of five members: Magik, a Russian sorceress (played by Taylor-Joy); Wolfsbane, a Scottish she-wolf (Williams); Cannonball, a propelling-through-the-air Kentuckian (Heaton); Sunspot, a solar-energy-powered Brazilian (Zaga) and Mirage, a Native American illusionist (Hunt).
